Christopher Rowe

Chris leads the indirect tax team in the Midlands, covering the Birmingham and Nottingham offices.

Having started his career at PwC where he completed the ACA and CTA qualifications, Chris then worked in industry as an indirect tax manager at a global construction and agricultural equipment provider. Chris therefore understands the challenges of operating in industry, and equally how to ensure the services his team provides bring maximum value to his clients.

Following his time in industry, Chris returned to practice, spending 8 and a half years at EY, where he had a diverse client portfolio, with particular sector focus in automotive, asset finance, manufacturing and retail. Chris then joined BDO in November 2022 as a partner.

As well as leading in his local market across all aspects of VAT, Chris will continue to lead the automotive sector nationally for VAT at BDO, as he did in his previous role at EY. Chris has deep sector expertise in automotive, and a broad understanding of the industry challenges, and cross-tax issues.
